How the finder works
Type your surname and we match it against clan names and their recognized septs, so a Henderson finds Gunn and a Thomson finds MacTavish. Not every family has its own tartan. If yours doesn’t appear, a district tartan for where your family came from, or a universal tartan such as Pride of Scotland, is a perfectly correct choice.
